Experion input/output modules and field level network gateways provide the physical connection between the automation system and the process. Experion provides flexible, robust, deterministic, and highly available solutions and hardware to satisfy the most demanding I/O related needs.
Experion provides or enables these key I/O and process connected functions, features, and value propositions:
Series C is Honeywell’s newest I/O family, leveraging the success and experience gained with PMIO to produce a unique, patent pending design. It provides a robust and highly available platform in a sleek styling that results in reduced footprint, easier installation and maintenance, and longer life. All components can be implemented in a redundant fashion providing a solution with no single point of failure.
Rail-A I/O is a compact, cost-effective, modular I/O system for distributed applications. It is din-rail mountable and provides flexible and space saving mounting options. Rail-A modules can be placed local or remote to the control processor.
Rail-H I/O has the same compact and modular design as the Rail-A I/O and can be placed local or remote to the controller. They can be mounted directly in hazardous locations (Div 1/Zone 1), providing significant design, installation, and wiring savings.
The CIOM-A family provides a large selection of I/O modules and field level network gateways in compact chassis based design. CIOM-A modules can be placed local or remote to the control processor. CIOM-A provides a flexible and robust solution where module redundancy is not an essential requirement.
Process Manager I/O (PMIO) is a mature, highly available and robust chassis I/O solution. All components can be implemented redundantly for a solution with no single point of failure. PMIO set the standard for I/O and continues to be one of Honeywell’s’ flagship offerings.
