The JumboMaster^® is a computerized reel optimization system that calculates how much paper should be wound on the jumbo shaft to produce a specific number of roll sets at the winder. It does this by predicting the final jumbo roll diameter and ensuring there is enough paper for the winding process. The end result is less paper remaining on the spools once the winding is completed.

Installation of the JumboMaster system has produced paper machine efficiency gains of about 1.5%—a full percentage point higher than all other competing products. Most mills using the JumboMaster system lowered their cost per ton and subsequently paid for the system in less than a year.
