SmartPAC 2 - Online Firmware Upgrades

Upgrades and enhancements for SmartPAC 2 can be installed quickly and easily. If your SmartPAC 2 is networked (with access to the Internet) you can update the SmartPAC 2 firmware without so much as opening the cover by downloading the new firmware directly from the Wintriss server. Once you initiate the download, the server automatically detects all of the installed firmware options in your SmartPAC 2 (SFI, Spanish, PM Monitor, PACNet, etc) and creates new firmware that is a direct replacement for the old.

In addition, SmartPAC 2 gives you the ability to check your currently installed firmware against the latest versions, and to check for possible conflicts with the PAC (module) firmware. PAC firmware cannot be downloaded, it must be ordered from the factory on EPROM chips.

If no network connection is available, new firmware can be uploaded to the SmartPAC 2 using several different means including the latest USB memory technology.
