Honeywell delivers a fully integrated solution that provides a full set of asset management tools to help reduce safety risks, minimize unplanned downtime and minimize maintenance costs.

Honeywell’s reliability solutions provide an overarching assessment to coordinate various asset condition indicators.  The solution includes a suite of performance monitoring technologies to detect the earliest stages of asset performance degradation that can be used to predict pending problems.  Our solutions focus on the three main asset classes that contribute to equipment and production downtime and our solutions are tailored to address the main problems associated with these assets.

Instrument and Automation Assets

The volume of diagnostic data gathered by smart field devices, control systems and advanced applications poses a serious challenge.  Many customers experience data overload and commonly ignore valuable information. Additional challenges include the management of the device configuration, the calibration of critical devices and the ongoing maintenance of automation applications.

  • Field Device Manager - simplifies instrument configuration and maintenance tasks and enables remote management of smart instruments.

  • Asset Manager - continuously and efficiently monitors, troubleshoots and maintains Experion PKS control loops and field device assets, as well as the traditional process-based assets.

Rotating Equipment

The effective management of an asset condition in order to proactively implement maintenance activities is critical.  This involves detecting a pending failure and also prioritizing and planning for corrective action.  Monitoring asset performance and the physical condition of assets via sensors and operators in the field can help effectively manage asset condition.

  • Asset Manager - provides early detection and notification of faults in critical plant assets, providing opportunity for repair or replacement of faulty equipment, eliminating unplanned downtime, and reducing maintenance time and labor costs.
  • Wireless Equipment Health Monitoring - data gathered provides operators and maintenance personnel with knowledge needed to schedule maintenance, manage inventories and support efficient workflow scheduling. 
  • Field Advisor – wireless collection system improves the tracking and reporting of inspections, tests and repairs for pumps, valves, vents, pipes, vessels and other plant process equipment.
  • TurboSuite – uses rigorous models of gas turbines, compressors and pumps to compare actual performance against expected performance to pinpoint the source(s) of performance degradation.

Fixed Equipment

Fixed equipment represents a larger risk to lost production and safety than rotating equipment due to the limits of monitoring technologies and costs associated with equipment inspections.  Understanding process variables that impact corrosion, measuring and predicting the corrosion of an asset in order to calculate its useful life are all invaluable factors to improving production dependability.
