Honeywell’s commitment to continuous evolution helps many customers to extend the life expectancy of their installed systems. With the introduction of the Experion™ Process Knowledge System (PKS) into many customer systems, ease of integration and increased performance are among the list of considerations
The migration path for the History Module (HM) is the Single Board History Module (SBHM). With the SBHM, TotalPlant® Network (TPN) customers can enhance their current History Module platform. The SBHM is one of the ways to increase the useful life of the HM and to ensure years of robust performance.
The SBHM improves the History Module without requiring a system software upgrade (TPN Release 500 or higher must be installed). It also saves space by replacing the Driver Tray, Processor (K4, K2, HPK, etc.) and Smart Peripheral Control (SPC) boards with a single, integrated board, employing the newest technologies, thereby using fewer components. The result is a robust, integrated platform.
The use of hot swappable drives that automatically sync up in approximately 30 minutes provides additional possibilities for HM backup practices.
Installing the SBHM results in a reduced cabinet/console footprint, freeing up valuable space in the control room or instrument room. The SBHM will fit in any chassis (10-slot, 5-slot, or dual node) that has been installed as a History Module in customer systems. The module utilizes existing I/O assemblies and LCN cabling, and is backward compatible with existing HM software.
And, for Solution Enhancement Support Program (SESP) customers, attractive pricing makes the SBHM a cost-effective and advantageous element in migration plans.
