Assess

An assessment determines the potential threats to and vulnerabilities of an existing system. The assessment provides guidance on improving system security and performance and can be used to modify an existing network or design an improved network solution. The on-site assessments may be combined as a complete study of a site’s vulnerabilities or the delivery may be customized as focusing on any of the three key concerns: Security – Honeywell conducts a study of the process control network security policies and practices, and documents security requirements, identifies network security threats, reviews existing security practices, procedures and safeguards, and identifies the causes of any potential security exposures. Network - Documented insight into the current site environment, future direction, needs and constraints. This assessment includes a review of the current infrastructure and network devices in their present configuration to serve as a frame of reference as well as recommendations on improving reliability. Data recovery – An analysis of data recovery requirements, strategy and current practices and tools. The report will include a review and recommendations on changes needed. Regular follow-up assessments are useful to track progress and shift focus as appropriate.
