OneWireless Network

Honeywell’s OneWireless Network is a rugged, industrial-grade network composed of industrial wireless access, called multinodes, that self-discover to create a redundant, self-healing mesh network.   This single multi-protocol, multi-standard wireless network communicates simultaneously with Wi-Fi devices and industrial I/O devices.

In June 2008, Honeywell launched the first industrial network to comply with ISA100.11a hardware requirements.  Confidently install  OneWireless knowing that upgrading to the leading industrial wireless standard will be an easy  no-cost, “over-the-air” upgrade.

The latest R120 release further enhances reliability and flexibility with the industry's first redundant synchronized gateway linking the wireless network into the process control network.  With superior latency and reliability, it is truly a ‘control-ready’ wireless extension to your process control network.

Reliable

  • Redundant, synchronized gateway provides system redundancy from the access point to the host system
  • Meshed OneWireless multinodes (wireless access points) create a highly reliable, self-healing mesh network

Flexible and Scalable

  • Customize security levels by network user on each multinode
  • Use multinodes as access points or redundant gateways
  • 40 multinodes are supported by a single OneWireless Server

Low Total Cost of Ownership

  • Lower costs by 30% or more using just one network to collect data from both transmitters and Wi-Fi and Ethernet devices
  • Backbone routing delivers efficient device battery usage to reach battery shelf-life

With wireless technology, you can solve many challenges that have been difficult to solve, such as:

  • Reduce installation costs of new process transmitters
  • Give your operators mobile control of the process with wireless tablet computers
  • Improve plant safety with wireless video cameras
  • Manage regulatory risks by remotely monitoring wastewater discharge or stack discharge points and other remote measurement points
  • Reduce downtime by predicting equipment failure with vibration monitors on rotating equipment
