Honeywell’s Operations Logbook is a software application for operators and others to keep an electronic record of what happens during a shift. Operations Logbook is ideally suited to help with a smooth shift handover, and to enable an operations department to coordinate its own activities. A better record of what actually occurred on shift helps process plants run more effectively, reduces errors, and improves their effectiveness.

Operations Logbook helps operators, shift supervisors, planners, and plant engineers work together to operate the plant reliably. Getting the right information at the right time to make the right decision is important, and requires that data be easily accessible. Operations Logbook provides operations staff with a common window to access information related to plant operations. Information from different sources is brought together to provide a consistent, up to date window into key operating data, problems, operating plans, the shift log and more.

Operations Logbook is included in Honeywell's Operations Management suite of products, which is part of the Business FLEX^® family of software applications. Operations Logbook is supported by the Uniformance^® Database System, which provides data collection, storage and management; and by the Experion™ Process Knowledge System (PKS) Application Framework for configurable, web services-based applications.
