XYR 6000 Universal I/O Transmitter

The XYR 6000 Universal I/O Transmitters (STUW700 and STUW701) are part of the Honeywell OneWireless product family. They allow a user to bring in high level analog inputs, thermocouple, milli-volt and discrete contact closure inputs wirelessly into their control system. The STUW701 transmitter also provides a discrete output that can be used to trigger an alarm or turn on/off a device. These devices can be used to convert these measurements into a wireless signal that is transmit to a gateway or to multiple communications nodes that form a managed, secure and redundant network.

Benefits:

  • The ability to mix and match multiple input types along with a discrete output in a single device reduces the cost of having to use multiple single function devices. This eliminates the installation and configuration costs of having more than one unit to do the job.
  • Enhances flexibility to monitor applications that have no access to power, that are remote or difficult to reach and that may require frequent reconfiguration
  • The faster data transmission rates ensure that the operators get the data they need in a timely manner and the ability to make the best decision to match their process needs.
  • Being ISA100.11a ready ensures that the transmitter can be easily upgraded to meet the requirements of the ISA100.11a standard without changing hardware.

Features:

  • Supports a total of three inputs which can be a combination of 1 to 3 high level analog inputs (0-20ma/4-20ma) or 1 to 2 thermocouple inputs or 1 to 2 discrete inputs or two inputs and a single discrete output (STUW701 model).
  • Wireless communications from the transmitters with configurable data transmission rates of 1, 5, 10 and 30 seconds
  • Transmitter power is supplied by two “D” size lithium batteries with an expected lifetime of up to ten years.
  • Integration with Experion PKS and other control systems provides local measurement accuracy to the system level without adding typical A/D and D/A converter inaccuracies
  • Transmitter range with the integral antenna is 1000’ (305 m) under ideal conditions with optional remote high gain antennas to increase the range.
  • Wireless System Gateways (WSG) provide the path to bring information into any control system wirelessly via OPC client or Modbus/TCP.
  • Each multinode accepts signals from up to 20 wireless transmitters reporting at 1 second, and up to 400 transmitters reporting at slower rates. Up to 20 multinodes can be implemented in the same infrastructure.
