Profit PID: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What products are included with Profit PID?
A: Profit PID includes the Profit Design Studio offline software package for modeling and analysis of PID controller data. Additional (optional) components are provided for online implementation on a Honeywell Application Module (AM).

Q: What type of loops can Profit PID be applied?
A: Profit PID can be applied to any PID controller, regardless of algorithm type (interactive or ideal), or equation (e.g. EqA, EqB, EqC, EqD, etc.). Profit PID also provides options for tailored tuning for setpoint response (servo control) and disturbance rejection.

Q: How is Profit PID licensed?
A: Profit PID is licensed by concurrent user or for site-wide use. Additionally, special licensing is available for third-party use.

Q: What are the platform requirements for Profit Design Studio?
A: Profit Design Studio requires a Pentium III or equivalent processor, 512MB RAM, and Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP operating systems.
