Production Analyst

A standard procedure in most companies is the comparison of actual to planned performance on a regular basis in order to monitor actual performance and improve the plan. The process industries generally have high quality actual data (Product Accounting – daily) and optimized plan data (Planning Department – e.g., weekly or monthly), presenting most of the conditions necessary to benefit from a financially valuable comparison.

Honeywell’s Production Analyst, an advanced software application, manages information about plans, production and performance of the supply chain. Using Production Analyst, manufacturers can develop benchmarks to facilitate synchronization, optimization, velocity, agility and knowledge management of a continuous manufacturing enterprise supply chain.

Production Analyst is part of the Honeywell Business.FLEX® Production Management family. Together with Production Balance and other related products, Production Analyst forms part of a total solution for production management. Production Analyst also complements RPMS from the Business.FLEX Advanced Planning & Scheduling suite.

Production Analyst is available as a full-fledged web application (built upon Honeywell’s Workcenter infrastructure for collaborative manufacturing). Once installed, the web version is readily available to anyone on the plant intranet with a web browser and appropriate authorization. Alternatively, the “Local” version of Production Analyst, which is based upon Microsoft® Access, can be deployed. This version is simpler to install and requires less powerful hardware. However, it is intended for use by a single user and does not readily allow plant-wide access to Production Analyst information.
