Need a Passport or Visa to Attend Honeywell Users Group Americas?

You may require a passport and/or visa to enter the U.S. to attend Users Group, so please plan ahead.

Passport Requirements

The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) requires all travelers to and from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda to present a valid passport if you are traveling by air or by sea to enter or re-enter the United States.  For more information, visit the U.S. Department of State's passport pages and allow at least six to eight weeks for processing of a passport application.

NEW U.S. Requires Visa-Free Foreign Travelers to Apply for Entry Online

Effective January 2009, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requires nationals and citizens of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries to receive an online, electronic authorization prior to boarding a U.S.-bound airplane or cruise ship.

For a complete list of countries who participate in this program or to apply for authorization to travel to the U.S., go to the ESTA web-based system and complete an application. There is no cost to apply. Application should be submitted at time of travel plan and may take up to 5 days to process.

An approved ESTA travel authorization is valid for up to two years or until the traveler’s passport expires, whichever comes first and valid for multiple entries into the U.S.

Additional information may be found at http://www.cbp.gov/ESTA

Visa Information

If an invitation letter is required for Visa application, provide the following information to callie.fish@honeywell.com or usersgroup@honeywell.com and a letter will be provided to you:

  • Name and Passport Number
  • Date and Place of Birth
  • Date and Place of Passport Issue
  • Date of Passport Expiration

This letter will help you in the visa process, which can take several months. Start now to ensure that you have a visa in time. (Please note that this letter does not guarantee that you will be granted a visa, nor does it commit Honeywell to assist you in obtaining a visa.  Honeywell does not agree to pay any expenses incurred by you. We cannot send the letter to the Embassy or Consulate for you, nor can Honeywell contact the Embassy or Consulate on your behalf. It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to obtain the necessary paperwork for entry to the U.S.). To learn more about the visa process, visit the U.S. Department of State's visa pages. Everyone entering the U.S. must also enroll in the U.S.-VISIT program. This program requires that visitors have their index fingers scanned and a digital photo taken to enhance the security of U.S. citizens and visitors.
