In October, 2010, Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) will be implementing a Common, Process and System (CP/S) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system including SAP in the United States and Canada replacing Oracle.  As a result, many applications designed specifically to interface with Oracle will be changed.  HPS’ on-line viewer and order portal, ACS.Home, also known as, Single Screen Order Entry (SSOE), functionality will change once SAP is implemented   These changes will affect all of ACS.Home’s current users in different ways.  A customer facing web application is under development to replace the current ACS.Home functionality.  The estimated launch date of that web application is late in 2011.

What’s not changing:

There will be no change to the look and feel of ACS.Home.  All users will retain their current logon and password.  The navigation of the screens in ACS.Home remains unchanged.  All users will be able to check order status, including shipping information, whether the order was placed using ACS.Home or through SAP.
Internal users will be able to check availability and list price for parts that are part of the Houston inventory location.
 
What is changing:

External end use customers - Honeywell’s end use customers will no longer be able to place orders using ACS.Home.  Most of our customers that use ACS.Home are based in the US and will be given contact information on who will assist them with placing orders.  End use customers will also need to call Honeywell for pricing. 
 
Internal users - Order entry using ACS.Home will no longer be available including the storing of quotations.  Only list price will be available for lookup.  Service notes and replacement/super cession (automatic part number replacement) information will be displayed for each part. 

What is the schedule?

  • SAP will “Go Live” on October 4th2010. 
  • The current ACS.Home order functionality will not be available beginning Oct 4, 2010.
  • Over the next two weeks, external end use customers will be contacted by their assigned account manager or customer service leader assigned to their account informing them of the changes to ACS.Home.
  • Beginning August 30,  ACS.Home’s log-in screen will display detailed information on the ACS.Home changes.. 
  • The ability to store a quotation on ACS.Home will cease at the end of August since quotes from ACS.Home are only valid for 30 days.

Why are we doing this?

The implementation of CP/S including the SAP ERP system is of great value to HPS our customers.  Replacing hundreds of legacy systems will contribute to the productivity of HPS and ACE and, provide significant cost savings.  Our customers will benefit by our ability to accurately know what we are doing with them in all of our divisions.  HPSwill be better positioned to help our customers capitalize on synergies between the products of all of the ACS groups.  Honeywell will be able to easily target the right customers with the right products based on what they currently have installed keeping their technology up to date and providing the competitive edge they need to compete in their industries.
