Honeywell Process Solutions and UOP, LLC are collaborating on comprehensive, integrated solutions to deliver immediate benefits to our customers and change the landscape of the industry.
As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Honeywell International, UOP develops and licenses process technology solutions that meet the ever changing needs of the refining and petrochemical industries. With more that 70 major process licenses, UOP has an extensive market presence worldwide. The company also manufactures catalysts, molecular sieves, adsorbents and specialized equipment for refiners. UOP is the number one licensor of process units to the refining industry. Major process units include Mercaptan Oxidation, Catalytic Reforming, Hydrotreating, Catalytic Cracking, and Hydrocracking. Most of the UOP licensed units are still in operation and are literally in every refinery around the globe. UOP’s flexible technology solutions enable adaptability to changing product mix demands and quality trends, environmental and regulatory constraints, and production efficiency needs. Today, more than 60 percent of the world’s gasoline is made using UOP technology.
Through an effective HPS / UOP collaboration approach, we are able to provide standard automation solutions, not only for single plant customers, but also across multiple sites. It provides the seamless integration of process knowledge with automation and control technology in an environment that is designed for operations and includes the areas of process simulation, field operations, decision support, process performance, and the integration of boundaries and operational procedures.
The HPS / UOP collaborative approach to operational excellence is applicable to both existing process unit configurations and modernization programs for existing units, as well as for new asset construction or complete Greenfield opportunities.
