Printa Production Management covers the whole production process. It provides management, supervision and reporting tools for all phases of the production process: sales, pre-press, printing, mailroom, distribution, maintenance and warehouse. The system is modular: from a system for press room management to an integrated system covering the whole production.

Main objectives of Printa Production Management are:

• Provide means for increasing the efficiency and decreasing delays in the whole production process by monitoring, recording and reporting in real time of all relevant process information and events
• Provide information on material consumption and provide utilities for optimization of material handling
• Provide utilities for planning the products
• Provide utilities for total production planning and optimization
• Provide production information to all parties involved in the production process
• Act as an intermediary between users and sub systems used in the production process (e.g. pre-press systems, press control systems, distribution control systems)
• Provide production information to financial and administrative systems

Printa Production Management makes management easier by giving tools to the user to react promptly to production problems. It gathers information on scheduled events, compares them to targets, and collects information on material consumption, machine and man-hours. The data is stored in an easily accessible SQL database. Machine and system interfaces are conceived and built for reliability as well as user interfaces are easy to use.

The system is open and based on standard local area networks, PC workstations and SQL databases. It is easily built and expanded to desired scope covering one or more production plants. The operating system is Windows XP Professional allowing reliable real time data processing and multitasking.
