Q. What is the intended use for TPPM?
A. Performance calculations are intended for use by operations personnel to fulfill reporting and logging requirements, by engineering to track performance trends of major equipment, and by management personnel to assist with business decisions.
Q: What platform is required to run TPPM?
A. TPPM runs on any personal computer on the Experion plant network, including the Experion Station or any desktop computer running Microsoft Windows.. The platform for calculations is Microsoft Excel and Windows NT/2000/XP.
Q: Where is the performance data coming from?
A. All inputs are obtained from the Experion system and the Honeywell Uniformance® Process History Database (PHD) plant historian server with the Experion or OPC real-time data interface. TPPM is an open system application that may be used with any vendor’s DCS. Uniformance plant historian collectors for other manufacturer’s DCS/PLC systems are available.
Q. How often is data updated in TPPM?
A. Server functions are executed on a cyclic, one-minute basis. TPPM includes add-ins for Microsoft Excel that allow data to be stored on the server and retrieved on a cyclic or demand basis.
Q: Does TPPM produce graphics as well as text reports?
A. Yes. TPPM produces graphics to make it easy to interpret information for all audiences.
Q: What other systems does it interface with?
