Q: Do users have a choice for selecting burner management equipment?A. Yes. The customer has the option to work with Honeywell equipment, or Honeywell can team up with one of the traditional standalone BMS suppliers to provide an integrated burner management solution.
Q: Does the system support regulatory agency requirements?A. Yes. The system is certified with NFPA 85C, ISA S84.01, TUV and IEC 1508. Honeywell is also active in the NFPA and ISA committees that continuously evolve burner safety standards.
Q: What platform is used for the BMS?A. The Fail Safe Controller (FSC®) or Experion C200 Process Controller may be used as the platform to execute the overall BMS sequencing and interlocking control strategy. The particular platform is chosen based on the local codes and standards that must be met. Both devices interface to Experion Stations on the proven, secure and reliable Fault-Tolerant Ethernet network.
Q: Does BMS have a separate user interface?A. No. BMS is an integral part of Experion. Its displays can be called up and operated from any Experion Station in the control system. This eliminates the need for a standalone operator interface.
Q: Does Honeywell provide other products and services that might be used with the BMS system?A. Yes. Honeywell can also provide the engineering, controller, and “burner front” products and services to provide a superior BMS solution.
