Honeywell wins Asia-Pacific Award for Most Innovative Power Technology of 2008
Honeywell has been honored with the 2008 Most Innovative Power Technology of the Year Award from Asian Power magazine. Honeywell earned the category’s Silver Award for a first-of-its-kind advanced controls project that helped China Petroleum and Chemical Corp. (Sinopec) increase electricity generation while curbing coal consumption at its Shanghai Petrochemical Company Principal Power Plant in Shanghai.  Read the press release.

Honeywell Receives  Frost & Sullivan Green Excellence of the Year Award Frost & Sullivan recognizes Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) with the 2008 North American Frost & Sullivan Green Excellence of the Year Award. Through its automation solutions, Honeywell has helped process manufacturers use energy more efficiently, improve environmental compliance, decrease emissions, and enhance overall business performance.

Manufacturing Business Technology honored Honeywell as a winner of its inaugural Innovation Insight Awards program. Honeywell’s OneWireless was co-winner for the Innovative Product category. The awards recognize companies that demonstrated creative use of information technology to solve real business problems.

Honeywell was honored by the Chinese Association of Automation as one of 2007’s “Best 10 Automation Enterprises” during the association’s 2008 Chinese Automation Industries Event (CAIE). Honeywell’s Experion® Process Knowledge System application for Shenhua Baotou’s coal-to-olefin project also was honored as one of 2007’s “10 Most Influential Projects.”  Read the press release

Profit Suite Wins Engineers' Choice Award from Control Engineering

Profit Suite won an Engineers' Choice Award from Control Engineering for its  technological advancement, market impact and service to the industry.

Profit Suite, which comprises several programs for specific applications, is designed to enhance the capabilities of a facility’s distributed control system (DCS). While the DCS manages the process by maintaining individual controller set points, Profit Suite continuously analyzes a broad range of process information and makes necessary adjustments to achieve economic goals.

Profit Suite R300 is easier than previous versions to deploy across any DCS, including non-Honeywell systems. It offers other enhancements that minimize engineering effort for plant testing and controller maintenance.

FDM Named Plant Engineering's Product of the Year

Honeywell has received a Plant Engineering magazine Product of the Year award for its Field Device Manager solution. The magazine picked Field Device Manager, a key component of Honeywell’s plant asset management portfolio, as the top product of 2006 in the maintenance software category.

Pioneering Innovation Award

Honeywell was honored with the 2006 Pioneering Innovation Award at the Governor’s Celebration of Innovation (GCOI) in Arizona. The award is presented each year to a company that has gone to great lengths in contributing to Arizona’s technology industry through sustained business presence, corporate citizenship, community involvement and business success. Honeywell was honored for the global launch of Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS) R300, as well as innovation in its Aerospace and Electronic Materials businesses. Jack Bolick, president of Honeywell Process Solutions, accepted the award on behalf of the company at the Governor’s Celebration of Innovation ceremony.

Asian Power Award

Honeywell was recognized at the Asian Power Awards 2006 for helping maximize energy and operational efficiency with our Unified Energy Solutions (UES) portfolio at the Samsung Fine Chemicals facility in Korea. “Energy is a precious commodity throughout the world, but many power producers must strive constantly to meet growing demands while ensuring environmental safety,” said Tim Charlton, publisher and editor-in-chief of Charlton Media Group, which organizes the awards. “Honeywell UES has helped the Samsung Fine Chemicals facility reduce its operating costs, yet at the same time achieve maximum efficiency in an environmentally conscious manner. For this, our judging panel felt Honeywell was the most worthy nomination in the category.”
