The PKS Advantage Program: Freedom to Choose

From the field to the control room to the board room, process automation customers seek complete, fully integrated solutions. PKS Advantage™ is a Honeywell-sponsored, collaborative marketing program that engages other best-in-class suppliers of automation components. This program enables Honeywell to deliver open, integrated process knowledge solutions using the field equipment, software and associated services customers deem most appropriate for their operations.

Program participants use open communications protocols to distribute, integrate and apply data and information throughout Honeywell’s Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS). The results include improved asset availability and effectiveness, optimized process throughput and work processes, and lower costs of ownership, operations and maintenance.

The following companies participate in the PKS Advantage program:

Cape Software’s VP Link® is a field I/O simulation package. Via the PKS Advantage program Cape has created high speed connections to all Honeywell DCS, PLC and SIS platforms. VP Link was created 20 years ago to simplify logic check-out and validation during FAT. VP Link is a non-invasive (no alteration to the control application) tool that once configured is directly analogous to the architecture of a real plant, with VP providing simulated dynamic process responses to the control system. Our Test Compiler® is a web based software module that assists in SIS logic validation to assist the end user in compliance to IEC61511.
